Juri Gagarin                    


Juri Alekseijevitj Gagarin was the first human in space in 12 April, 1961. The journey took 108 minutes when he traveled around the world. The journey was 40 000 km long. After this he was a famous person. His hometown Gazhatsk near Moskva changed name to Gagarin when he arrived from the space. Juri Alekseijevitj Gagarin died 1968  in an air crash there he was practicing for a new journey to space.
