Nicholas Copernicus was born in 1473 in Poland. He was a priest and astronomer.

Copernicus observatory was a little tower on the wall around cathedral in Frauenberg. The city where he lived was near the Baltic Sea and it was fog almost every day and sunny days and nice weather were rare. Copernicus didn’t do so many observations. But instead he used year in and year out on his notes. He tried to prove that the earth wasn’t lying still in the universe. The discover was fantastic in that year. It was so fantastic that he didn’t tell anyone because they would think that he was crazy. He wanted to be sure that his theori was right. He published a book about heavenly bodies movement where he proved that the earth moves around the sun. His book was published just before he died.
